With a scheme designed by ThirdWay Interiors, 30A Great Sutton Street possesses an industrial look contrasted with contemporary décor, bespoke joinery and softened by a range of carpet tiles from modulyss. The manufacturer’s First Define, Pixel and Velvet& collections create a warm atmosphere that juxtaposes with the exposed concrete and HVAC elements for a classic look that’s perfect for prospective tenants.
“We wanted to soften the space from both a practical and aesthetic perspective,” explains Matthew Constantinou, senior designer, ThirdWay Interiors. “We turned to modulyss for its unique design options and excellent value to create the scheme we wanted within the client’s budget.”
First Define is part of the revamped First collection group, a series of five patterned carpet tiles developed to bring the ideal combination of design, performance and value. Installed across workspaces in two duo-tone greys of 957 and 140, First Define’s randomised texture reflects the exposed concrete used throughout the offices.
The sophisticated pattern belies its value-driven status and is joined by Pixel, a design from the Vintage collection group. Pixel’s classy look echoes a time-worn aesthetic that feels instantly relaxing. Appearing in breakouts and relaxed seating areas, the carpet’s 610 colourway of grey and jade blue adds just enough vibrancy to define the role of areas without unbalancing the overall ambience of sophistication and the scheme’s restrained material palette.
ThirdWay Interiors used Velvet& 130 to add luxury to meeting rooms. The carpet tile’s lavish textural contrast and rich colour combine to create the look of time-worn velvet, a faded elegance that adds an opulence that also manages to feel relaxing and welcoming.
First Define, Pixel and Velvet& are made in Belgium from high-performance solution-dyed nylon yarn. Providing a soft and welcoming floor finish with long-term appearance retention and easy maintenance, the carpet tiles are sure to make a great first impression, while delivering practically throughout occupancy of this prime London office space. A total of 400m2 of modulyss carpet tiles were installed.
