The UK BIM Alliance are partnering with Digital Construction Week (DCW) for the sixth year to offer visitors to the show two days of free content about Information Management using BIM.
Pam Bhandal, Engagement Co Lead for UK BIM Alliance says: “The UK BIM Alliance was formed back in 2016 and we’ve been keen supporters of DCW ever since.
“It’s an important event for those involved within the built environment, whether you’re in architecture, construction, engineering, asset/facility management, or a property owner there is content for you.
“We’re excited to be back at DCW this November and look forward to bringing the community together again after the pandemic put a stop to us meeting up at the show last year.”
Event director Oliver Hughes says: “We’re delighted to be back partnering with the UK BIM Alliance on our full two-day seminar programme across both our BIM theatres. BIM has been central to the digital transformation of the built environment in the UK and supporting the UK BIM Alliance’s aim to make BIM ‘business as usual’ is a big focus for us here at DCW.”
As part of the call for speakers for the 2021 show, DCW and the UK BIM Alliance are looking for BIM-related seminars to join the programme for the BIM Village and BIM Workshops theatres.
Pam Bhandal continues: “We’re inviting the industry to get involved and apply to take to the stage to share your BIM expertise and experience at DCW this year. We’re looking for case studies and practical insights that will help inspire those starting out on their journey or challenge those already engaged with information management using BIM.
“We want to receive seminar proposals that feature examples of implementing BIM, lessons learned and challenges addressed at organisational level (whether an SME or large organisation), transitioning from PAS 1192 to ISO 19650, or implementing the UK BIM Framework. If you have a story to tell, we want to hear it.”
While the BIM Village is a more traditional theatre suitable for presentations and panel discussions, in the BIM Workshops theatre audience members are sat around tables, perfect for practical, classroom-style learning.
“If you want to host a workshop on a specific topic or go into more details about your project from a technical or practical perspective, then the BIM Workshops are the right place for you,” says Pam Bhandal.
Digital Construction Week takes place at ExCeL London from 24-25 November 2021. To register your interest in attending please visit www.digitalconstructionweek.com/register-your-interest.
