Britain’s small and medium stations are getting a rethink – and The Design Council want to hear views on the emerging design.
ExploreStation is an opportunity to shape the ‘kit of parts’ design being developed by 7N Architects, winners of a 2020 international design competition run by Network Rail and the RIBA.
The ground-breaking programme offers diverse ways of getting involved – from pop-up immersive experiences featuring VR to online feedback and hands-on design workshops to attend in-person or join digitally.
The engagement will run from the beginning of February 2022 until mid-March. Throughout this period, anyone with an internet connection can view the updated proposals and respond via this online platform. The Design Council is holding a series of pop-up immersive experiences and workshops across Britain.
Pop-up immersive experiences:
Online workshop 1 March – 18:00-20:30 (Please note that while everyone is welcome to attend, this online event will focus on the experiences of people with specific needs, including those who identify as being neurodiverse, physically and/ or mentally disabled)
To find out more, including news and information about future opportunities to get involved online and in person, sign up for updates.
ExploreStation is commissioned by Network Rail and led by Design Council – the government’s advisor on design – in partnership with Network Rail, The Glass-House Community Led Design, Digital Urban and Commonplace.
