Britain’s Technical Fire Safety Group (TFSG) with its market-leading trading brands Pyroguard and Fire Glass UK, is to join forces with the svt Group of Companies, following a buy-out of the group by Ergon Capital, backers of the svt Group. The two companies complement each other extremely well in their respective product portfolios in passive fire protection and also their geographical presence, and their coming together will create a major European player in passive fire protection.

Combining strengths

svt and TFSG both have a long history of growth and have more than doubled their respective sizes through strong organic growth and mergers since 2016. The market for passive fire protection is an attractive, high growth sector which benefits from strong regulatory tailwinds and this new merger holds great potential for both partners to accelerate their growth and jointly gain market share on an international level.

Customer solutions from one source

svt is one of the leading suppliers in passive fire protection in Europe, TFSG develops and manufactures state-of-the-art fire safety glass. Fire protection seals from svt and fire rated glass from TFSG are frequently part of the same customer solution, with both products working in harmony together.

"Together we will expand our product portfolio and be able to offer our customers solutions from a single source. We also complement each other very well geographically," explains Dr Jens Reiners, CEO svt Group of Companies. "For these reasons, the merger is strategically a logical and very beneficial step for both companies, their employees and customers," continues Neil Tilsley, CEO Technical Fire Safety Group.

Staying close to our customers with a strong service proposition

Both companies are active along the entire value chain - from research and development to production, customisation, and installation. This unique structure ensures that know-how,

technical excellence and a continual focus on R&D enables optimum customer solutions from one source.

Both companies management structures will remain intact

There will be no layoffs, job transfers, or job changes for employees in connection with the merger. The management team of Technical Fire Safety Group will remain in place to help execute the ambitious growth plan for the new group.
