Insulation manufacturer, ROCKWOOL®, has launched an updated version of the ROCKWOOL Red Book – its established fully-interactive industry guide to acoustic, fire and thermal insulation which provides digital access to technical data, product certification and a wide range of specification support materials.
Updates within the latest ROCKWOOL Red Book include the introduction of NyRock® Rainscreen 032, NyRock Cavity Slab 032 and NyRock Frame Slab 032. These are the first in a series of new products that use NyRock technology, a patented production process that delivers the lowest lambda stone wool insulation currently available in the UK and Ireland.
The updated ROCKWOOL Red Book contains details of the recently-awarded BBA accreditation for NyRock Rainscreen 032. Following rigorous testing for its durability, thermal and fire performance, the product has been independently assessed and marked for compliance with the relevant building standards and regulations.
Also included within the latest version of the ROCKWOOL Red Book is direct links for all featured products to the NBS Source platform, allowing those within the industry to easily view product information for specification within a project’s broader workflow.
In addition, the ROCKWOOL guide to the updated thermal regulations of Approved Document L 2021 Edition (England) is now directly accessible from the ROCKWOOL Red Book. The guide summarises the need-to-know information and supports with practical tools and construction approaches that specifiers can use as a basis for their projects.
Finally, the ROCKWOOL Red Book now features the company’s updated CPD (Continuing Professional Development) library, including access to on-demand modules for building professionals to upskill their knowledge at any time, and from anywhere.
Speaking about the latest ROCKWOOL Red Book release, Paul Barrett, Head of Product Management at ROCKWOOL, comments: “The ROCKWOOL Red Book is an essential and practical resource for building professionals, bringing together all the latest relevant specification data for ROCKWOOL acoustic, fire and thermal solutions, into a single place.
“We are committed to continual investment in our suite of industry resources. This latest version ensures that the ROCKWOOL Red Book content remains relevant and accurate, making it easier for specifiers to identify the correct stone wool insulation for facades, walls, floors and roofs.”
