Mapelastic joins Zero line of carbon offset* products

Mapei UK’s Zero line of carbon offset* products has been extended further, with the introduction of Mapelastic Zero. A two-component elastic cementitious waterproofing mortar, Mapelastic Zero provides permanent, durable protection of balconies, terraces, bathrooms and swimming pools, with CO2 fully offset in the entire life cycle.

*CO2 emissions - measured throughout the life cycle of products from the Zero line in 2024 using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, verified and certified with EPDs - have been offset through reforestation projects and protection of biodiversity. The Zero line portfolio demonstrates Mapei’s commitment to the planet, to people and to biodiversity.

Fast and simple to prepare and apply, Mapelastic Zero provides perfect adhesion to substrates. The versatile mortar is highly flexible at low temperatures to -20oc, resistant to UV rays and has a very low VOC formulation. As well as application before tiling, it can be used to waterproof and protect a range of substrates including cementitious screeds and renders, concrete, concrete blocks, plasterboard and cement board. It also provides protection from CO2 penetration to concrete surfaces for more than 50 years.

Mapelastic Zero is CE-certified in compliance with EN 1504-2, CE EN 14891 and EC1 Plus by the GEV Institute.
