Drainage product manufacturer Gatic has announced that its range of access covers will be supplied from its Halstead site from December 2024.
The strategic move will mean the physical relocation of Gatic Access Covers from the existing Dover site to the modern facility in Halstead, Essex. The site will facilitate the two market-leading brands, Wade and Gatic, as the business increases its focus toward offering a single source drainage solution for the entire building envelope.
“This strategic decision has been made with our customers at the very centre of our thinking,” commented Anthony Hitchman, Divisional Commercial Director at Gatic’s parent company, Alumasc Water Management Solutions (AWMS). “In fact, we’ve made a significant investment of £1.5 million in new machinery to improve the capacity and efficiency of Gatic Access Covers’ operations.”
These upgrades will result in several benefits, including a sustained advancement in quality. This will ensure the reputation of Gatic Access Covers as a trusted, well-engineered product, moving forward.
The revolutionary new manufacturing process allows all covers to be interchangeable offering more flexibility and ease of use in the installation of Gatic Access Covers.
New equipment has enabled Gatic to re-engineer the access covers and periphery frame interface, resulting in the removal of lead joints, improving the product’s environmental credentials and removing potential durability issues caused by the lead interface.
All of these updated manufacturing processes will result in improved lead times, whilst the new technology will support Gatic’s commitment to vital product research, development and evolution, well into the future.
