Systemise your fire-resistant glazing approach

The Promat SYSTEMGLAS® range of integrity and insulation (EI) fire resistant glazing systems provides a solution for all kinds of internal glazing elements, including doors, using one of several different framing options, all of which are supported by certification confirming their fire performance.

This ‘complete tested system’ approach to the design, manufacture and installation of fire-resistant glazing enables Promat UK to offer important benefits to clients by providing clear traceability for these safety-critical building elements.

Four framing materials are available within the SYSTEMGLAS range – steel and timber, plus two options which use Promat PROMATECT®-H, a calcium silicate based material. These are designed to be painted or over-clad to replicate other frame types, or concealed within the surrounding walls, floor and ceiling to give a frameless look for fire-rated glazing.

The Promat SYSTEMGLAS® range has been used in numerous commercial, public and residential developments over three decades. It is supported by Promat’s 360-degree ‘wheel of assurance’, a model developed to help clients achieve their objectives for fire rated glazing and fire doors with confidence.

In every project, the Promat team supports clients throughout the whole process. This can begin with early collaboration with architects to develop initial glazing concepts and then providing input into the design detailing, and continues through to appointing recommended installers, overseeing production to ensure the correct products and components are used – all backed by the necessary product information and test data.

The Promat SYSTEMGLAS® range is typically used for fire-rated applications including butt-jointed glass screens, partitions, windows and glass atria where EI protection of between 30 and 120 minutes is required. The range is part of Promat UK’s wide portfolio of fire glass products and systems, all provided by a company specialising in passive fire protection throughout the construction and industrial sectors.

The company also offers several fire-rated steel-framed glass door systems with either EI or E (integrity only) protection, which can be used to create stand-alone single or double door-sets or incorporated into the steel-frame SYSTEMGLAS Ferro glazing elements. In addition, Promat UK offers a walk-on structural glass floor called SYSTEMGLAS Stratum, along with several fire glass products suitable for use in many different door, window and glazing projects.
