MPB has delivered a brand-new modular building for Oakengates Nursery School, Telford, providing a purpose-built environment tailored to early years learning.
This project is part of the Oakengates Theatre regeneration project and has been centred on creating a safe, engaging and practical space where children can thrive. MPB was chosen to complete this work while ensuring the build process caused minimal disruption to the general school and the wider surroundings.
Thanks to adopting a modular approach, much of the construction was completed off-site, allowing for faster installation and a more controlled build quality. This method not only shortened the overall project timeframe, but also resulted in a more sustainable construction with reduced waste products, eco-conscious workshops and improved efficiency across the board compared to traditional construction techniques.
The completed modular nursery features bright, thoughtfully designed interiors that encourage creativity, comfort and easy supervision for around 108 students. The layout supports both structured activities and free play, with clear sightlines throughout and accessible spaces that work for staff and pupils alike. Modern materials and energy-effi cient design elements also help create a comfortable, sustainable environment.
This new modular building installation demonstrates MPB’s expertise in delivering high-quality modular solutions for the education sector. Oakengates Nursery School now benefi ts from a durable, future-proofed facility that enhances the learning experience and meets the demands of an inclusive and growing community.
