Building products manufacturer Glidevale Protect has appointed a new Technical Services Manager as it continues to invest in its in-house team as part of a commitment to maintaining the company’s high standards of competency and technical transparency.
Henry Maguire, who has worked in Glidevale Protect’s Technical department for six years having started as a Trainee Technical Officer, has held other roles in the department before taking this step up to the newly created role of Technical Services Manager.
As Technical Services Manager Henry will be responsible for managing all incoming customer queries across Glidevale Protect’s full range including roofing, construction and fire rated products. Together, he and the team offer support for customers throughout a project, from initial research and specification through to installation and future maintenance.
As well as answering day-to-day enquires with general product information, clarification and advice, Glidevale Protect’s dedicated Technical team is on hand to create U-value calculations, take offs for cavity trays, condensation risk analysis and roof ventilation strategies. The team also delivers toolbox talks as part of its technical service offering.
Henry said: “By far the most important aspect of our role is providing accurate responses to specifiers and installers in a timely manner. Sometimes installers are mid-project and need a response from us quickly. Keeping up-to-speed with changes to regulations, British Standards and our own product range is a vital part of my role. As the Technical team is also responsible for in-house training and delivering tailored training sessions for installers and specifiers of our products, it’s safe to say that no two days are the same!”
