Condensation and moisture-related defects continue to be one of the most common causes of building performance failures.

Permavent has launched its RIBA-approved CPD, Management of Moisture in Buildings – Pitched Roofing Designs, helping architects, specifiers, housebuilders and construction professionals understand why condensation can still occur in design-compliant roofs.

The session examines moisture movement, dew point, airtight construction and ventilation, alongside guidance in BS 5250:2021 and NHBC Standards. It also explores how roofing underlay selection, roof coverings, complex details and integrated solar systems affect condensation risk.
