Pop Up Power Supplies® range of In-Ground Units, or Flip Lid Power Units, provide a discreet and continuous power source for outdoor events such as markets, festivals and other public events.
Their popularity with outdoor events is due to their discreet mode of operation, where they are able to provide a safe and secure power source with the lid locked down, where only the power cable is protruding. This prevents any public access and minimises any health and safety risk as the power unit sits flush with the ground surface.
The Flip Open Power Units are available in two sizes – slim and large. The slim model units are 250mm deep with a single-phase incoming supply, and the large units are 750mm deep with a single or three-phase incoming supply. Both models are constructed of high grade mild steel which forms the casing, which is also coated in a hot dip galvanised layer in compliance with BS EN ISO 1461.
The covers for the flip lid units are 386 x 570mm in size, for the slid and large models, and are operated with a spring loaded mechanism to ease opening and closing. They are also recessed so paving and other surfacing materials can be installed on top, therefore are able to adapt to any environment. The lids are tested unfilled to FACTA Class B loadings.
The In-Ground Units are able to accommodate various electrical configurations. The slim models have two sockets which can accommodate either 1 x 32A IP67 and a 1 x 16A IP67, or 2 x 16A IP67 power supply. The large models are able to offer 1 x 125A IP67, 1 x 63A IP67, 2 x 32A IP67 plus 2 x 16A IP67, and 1 x 32A IP67 plus 3 x 16A IP67 configurations. Each socket is individually tripped.
