At this year’s Ecobuild, Black Millwork will be showcasing its brand new aluminium window range and a selection of its own branded, high quality timber windows and doors, as well as highlighting products from its Andersen portfolio on stand S1038.
Black Millwork’s new range of well-engineered aluminium windows boasts exceptional performance characteristics and contemporary designs, in addition to being an extremely sustainable specification choice.
Available in a variety of RAL colours and bespoke shapes and sizes, Black Millwork’s aluminium windows provide a very modern finish to all types of properties, as well as delivering exceptional U-values as low as 0.6W/m2K – lower than the Passivhaus standard of 0.8W/m2K.
As aluminium is so impervious to corrosion, virtually no maintenance is required throughout the window’s life expectancy. Aluminium is also one of the most sustainable building materials available, as it can be recycled again and again without any loss in quality. Indeed, it’s been estimated that 75% of all the aluminium ever produced is still in use today.
Gary Hutton, General Manager at Black Millwork, commented: “As last year’s event was successful, we’re very much looking forward to presenting our wide range of products at Ecobuild this year, as well as our brand new aluminium range.
“After listening to customer feedback, we discovered that there was a demand for more modern designed fenestration options. Therefore, we developed this new range of aluminium windows to meet the contemporary aesthetic our customers required, combined with the excellent production values and environmental performance we deliver through all of our products.”
Manufactured from quality knot-free engineered Baltic pine and available in either double or triple glazing, Black Millwork will also have its high performance Urban Sliding Sash windows on display. The Urban Sliding Sash range combines classic lines of a Victorian era window with the technical benefits of a modern product, which is an ideal solution for both period refurbishments and elegant new build properties.
This range also proves that traditional aesthetics do not have to come at the expense of energy efficiency, as the units achieve a U-value of 1.5 W/m2K for the double glazed option and 1.3 W/m2K for the tripled glazed choice.
Black Millwork will also be showcasing its range of high specification 68mm engineered timber entrance doors and appealing range of fenestration choices, including its oak casement, flush casement and tilt and turn windows.
Finally, as the sole UK distributors of Andersen Windows, Black Millwork will also be showcasing a selection of products from this portfolio of highly sustainable windows, including its popular Woodwright vertical sliding sash windows. The eco credentials of Andersen Windows are supported by the incorporation of Fibrex - a new generation wood, which is manufactured with up to 50% recycled pine waste, and provides the strength and durability of wood but with low maintenance.
