Ecobuild and the organisers of Climate Week have announced that the official launch of this year’s Climate Week will be held on site at Ecobuild 2014.
It seemed only fitting that Ecobuild (4 – 6 March, ExCeL London), the world’s largest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment, would once again work with Climate Week, Britain’s biggest climate change campaign.
Climate Week 2014 will run from the 3rd to the 9th of March with the official launch taking place at in The North Arena at Ecobuild on Tuesday 4th at 1.30pm.
The campaign is endorsed by politicians and celebrities including the Prime Minister, David Cameron, Sir Paul McCartney, footballer Gary Neville and the Chairman of the Committee on Climate Change, Lord Deben. The national launch will kick off a programme of over 3,000 events designed to raise awareness of the dangers of climate change and suggest solutions to combat the problem.
Chaired by founder Kevin Steele, the launch will include the announcement of the winners of the Climate Week Awards, nominations for which have just opened. The Climate Week Awards are given for exemplary professional achievements in the following categories:
Entry to the awards is completely free and any organisation or individual can nominate their inspirational initiative, product or person simply by submitting an entry of up to 700 words. For further details about the awards and to submit entries for any of the categories visit www.climateweek.com/awards.
