Marmox UK shows Innovative Sustainable Building Products at Ecobuild 2012

Thermoblock thermal bridging blocks to be exhibited alongside fire resistant, sound and wet-room insulation boards

Chatham, UK, 5 March, 2012 – Marmox UK, part of the international Marmox group, will be demonstrating its versatile high quality, energy efficient, range of thermal and sound insulation products on stands N462 and 463 at Ecobuild 2012, ExCel, London 20 – 22 March. Also on show for the first time will be the new Heraklith wood wool insulation fire resistant panels for internal and external use.

Visitors to the Marmox stand will be able to discuss their project requirements with a team of industry experts who will be on hand to answer technical queries.

Thermoblock

Thermoblock from Marmox is the world’s strongest thermal bridging block, designed to replace the course of bricks or blocks at the base of a wall of up to two storeys. The combination of strength and lightweight construction makes it simple for users to achieve a CSH rating of 4 and comply with part L* (England & Wales) of the 2010 building regulations.

According to Accredited Construction Details, the UK maximum allowable heat loss at a thermal bridge is 0.16W/m.K, with Marmox Thermoblock at the floor and wall junction the heat loss is between 0.032 and 0.072W/m.K.

Heraklith

The Heraklith wood wool and insulation panels, now available from Marmox UK, offer superb fire proofing, thermal and sound insulation qualities for new build and renovation projects. Available with a variety of thermal insulation options in thicknesses from 25mm – 160mm, Heraklith provides up to 90 minutes fire protection allowing ceiling and wall constructions to stay intact.

The high quality decorative finish of the panels makes them suitable for both residential and commercial applications, especially where sound absorption is a requirement. Heraklith panels are a natural product constructed from certified spruce wood originating in northern Europe, produced with respect for ecological, social and ethical standards.

* N.B. Part F in Northern Ireland and Part 6 in Scotland.
