Leading insulation manufacturer Saint-Gobain Isover exhibited the latest in its range of sustainable mineral wool insulation systems and solutions at this year’s Ecobuild.
Exhibiting as part of parent company Saint-Gobain’s stand, visitors to the show were able to learn more about Isover’s latest product innovations through a ‘day in the life’ experience curated by the brand’s experts. This has been designed to highlight Isover’s expansive portfolio of environmentally sustainable mineral wool products for thermal, acoustic and fire insulation, and how they are used across a wide range of building applications and sectors.
One of the latest sustainable solutions being showcased at this year’s event is the Optima Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) System.
Designed to simplify the retrofit process, the Optima IWI System improves the thermal performance of solid and other hard to treat walls while protecting the original fabric of the building, bringing properties in line with, and surpassing, required building regulations.
The Optima IWI System offers active moisture management properties through the inclusion of Isover’s Vario Membrane and external treatment, Isover Protect, reducing the risk of moisture issues associated with IWI systems. As part of the Government’s Green Deal initiative, the system will be guaranteed under the National Insulation Association’s SWIGA scheme for 25 years, giving peace of mind to the end user.
As well as the Optima IWI System, Isover’s team of experts is on-stand to discuss the company’s full range of solutions, including CWS 32 and RD Party Wall Roll from its new build range; Renovation Roll Acoustic, part of the RMI portfolio; and CLIMPIPE and CLIMAVER, for use in industrial applications.
Helen Tunnicliffe, head of marketing at Isover, commented: “Our 3 Point Plan for environmental responsibility is at the heart of our business strategy, and we have continued to develop sustainable insulation solutions to protect both the built and natural environment.
"Ecobuild provides us with the perfect platform to showcase the environmental credentials of our products and highlight their effectiveness across a range of applications and industries. It’s also a great opportunity to speak to our customers face-to-face about the challenges they face day-to-day, which will be invaluable as we continue our groundbreaking research and development work.”
