Leading global provider of security and safety solutions Ingersoll Rand has launched a white paper on bomb blast doors, as a comprehensive guidance document for specifiers of high-risk building projects.
Designed to provide an overview of the current regulatory environment surrounding counter-terrorism measures in the construction of high-risk environments, the paper offers specifying professionals a wider understanding of advisory documents, quality standards and market leading products.
The paper summarises important documents produced by the Department of Communities and Local Government which aim to assist in the design of public places deemed at risk of terrorist attack – such as airports, embassies and retail outlets. Also included are details of the manufacturing differences between conventional doorsets and their enhanced security and bomb blast counterparts.
Stephen Badgery, Key Account Manager for Ingersoll Rand comments: “Staying abreast of industry developments in counter-terrorism can be a time consuming task for busy specifiers, but with terrorism a key concern in the UK, it is a task that cannot be delayed. The bomb blast doors white paper has been created as a go-to piece of literature for those who want to be brought up-to-speed quickly and accurately on the latest legislation and market developments.
“Offering the very latest industry insight into how high-security doorsets perform and the protection they can offer, the paper is sure to be of great help to specifiers keen to fully understand the decision making processes and installation requirements behind bomb blast doors.”
