Bathroom product manufacturer Inta is celebrating its tenth year of anti-scald success with the anniversary of its industry leading thermostatic mixing valve (TMV), IntaMix.
Developed alongside a complete learning package, IntaMix kicked off Inta’s campaign to educate specifiers and installers on the benefits of anti-scald products.
The firm has so far distributed more than half a million of its ‘Everything you need to know about anti-scald’ awareness booklets as well as providing free online training to plumbers and installers.
Selling over one million units since its launch, IntaMix has become one of the most identifiable Inta products with merchants and installers.
Synonymous with bathroom safety, Inta’s anti-scald mission has helped to inform key building regulations, with changes to Part G in 2010 requiring all new build bathrooms to be fitted with a TMV.
Stuart Gizzi, managing director of Inta, said: “We set up Inta with a goal to eliminate scalding from British bathrooms and we’re incredibly proud of the success that IntaMix has seen.
“Whilst the changes to Part G building regulations have contributed to a shift in attitudes towards anti-scald products, there is still some way to go because there can still be confusion in the industry about whether or not a TMV is required when a bathroom undergoes refurbishment.
“Not only are we committed to creating high quality, anti-scald TMV2 and TMV3 taps, valves and showers, we also believe that knowledge is power and bathroom safety should never be compromised through ignorance.”
