Frese sees turnover soar by 40%

Dynamic valve manufacturer Frese has seen turnover soar by over 40% in the last year.

The company's turnover has risen from £2.4m to £3.4m in the last 12 months and as a result Frese is looking to recruit two new sales staff.

The valve manufacturer got off to a successful start last year by securing projects installing and supplying valves to major landmark schemes such as the Shard in London and De Vere Gardens in Kensington.

Frese has since worked on key projects including London's luxury apartment scheme 3 Merchant Square, at Hyde Park and the supplying of valves for AkzoNobel's £15m manufacturing facility in Ashington, where paint brands such as Dulux and Cuprinol are produced.

Stephen Hart, managing director at Frese said: “We are the established leader in valve technology and it's this expertise in the design of pressure independent control valves (PICVs) which has paid dividends in the last 12 months.

"PICVs are becoming an increasingly popular way of cutting energy costs in buildings by simply controlling the heating and cooling system more accurately.  Such valves, once installed, can cut energy costs for a building by up to 50%."

PICVs are a self-regulating valve which react independently to changes in system pressure to maintain flow rates.  The Frese Optima dynamic balancing valve is the market leading valve and precisely manages the flow of fluid and pressure in a heating system, which is vital to how efficiently it warms a building and how much work the actual boiler and pump has to.

According to Stephen it's this reason why they are becoming popular in large scale projects because the flow of pressure in a system can be a huge headache.

PICVs are an easy way of solving this and additionally the control they give on a system cuts the energy a circulating pumps needs to use, leading to a reduction in the energy bills.

Stephen added:  “In order to continue our company growth we are committing extensive resource to recruitment and to product innovation, this will be vital to maintaining our position as the market leader and continuing the expansion of Frese in the UK."
