It's oil about the future for Worcester's new generation of boilers

Leading manufacturer, Worcester, Bosch Group, has reinforced its position as the manufacturer of choice, with the introduction of the new oil-fired boiler range.

Worcester’s latest Greenstar Heatslave and Greenstar Danesmoor oil-fired boilers exceed the efficiency requirements of the forthcoming revisions to the ErP Directive, future proofing installations in light of the Directive’s challenging performance requirements. Both models also include a range of features which mean easier installation and service for installers.

The all-new Greenstar Heatslave II

Worcester’s all-new Greenstar Heatslave II offer installers an oil-fired combi boiler with some of the most advanced technology on the market. With heat transfer key to efficiency, Worcester has redesigned its baffle as a single piece component, manufactured from high temperature stainless steel. Not only does this ensure more energy is retained with the boiler’s heat exchanger for improved efficiency but this one-piece design simplifies how the baffle can be removed and replaced during servicing and maintenance.

The cross-fired burner, combined with a new compact modular hydraulic system, additionally improves the serviceability of the boiler, while a relocated, hinged expansion vessel guarantees easier access to its central components. With an intuitive electronic control system concealed in a pull-out drawer for ease of access, the Greenstar Heatslave II gives both installers and their customers the opportunity to interact with the boiler with ease.

An option to connect the boiler to weather compensation controls, and its ability to accept pre-heated water from a solar thermal source, also positions Worcester’s new addition as its greenest oil-fired boiler to date.

Regular revolution: The new Greenstar Danesmoor

The second addition to Worcester’s market-leading oil-fired boiler range is the new Greenstar Danesmoor regular boiler. Featuring a brand new compact primary heat exchanger, the new oil-fired regular boiler makes access to the boiler’s interior components even easier than before, without compromising on performance levels.

Every surface inside Danesmoor’s new combustion chamber is energy absorbing, meaning better distribution of heat and a more efficient use of energy. In addition, its upgraded secondary heat exchanger has been individually designed to fit each particular model from the appliance’s 12/18, 18/25 and 25/32 variants.

Like the Greenstar Heatslave II, the Greenstar Danesmoor regular boiler features a single piece primary baffle for enhanced maintenance and efficiency possibilities; whilst its enhanced performance within a low temperature system underlines its credentials under the ErP Directive. It also includes a flue kit as standard.

Martyn Bridges, Worcester’s director of marketing and technical support, commented: “The development and introduction of Worcester’s two new oil-fired boilers comes as a direct result of the feedback we’ve taken on board from installers. As a market leader in the oil-fired boiler sector, we are conscious of the responsibility we have to supporting installers with advanced technology both they and their customers can benefit from.

“Updates to the ErP Directive are set to raise the minimum standards required from heat producing appliances, and we wanted to be able to offer installers a range of oil-fired boilers which future proofs them and their customers with this in mind. By coupling this improved performance with an abundance of installer-friendly features, we have every confidence that the new additions to our Greenstar range will establish themselves amongst the industry’s leading products.”
