Wrekin Windows the specialist supplier of PVC-U windows and doors to the social housing sector is unveiling its new Vertical Sliding Window System at this year’s Chartered Institute of Housing’s (CIH) Conference and Exhibition held at Manchester Central.
The Telford based company has invested in design, research and development to create an authentic looking PVC-U sash window. For providers of social housing, the new Vertical Sliding Window System gives them the perfect solution to enhance the period properties in their portfolios, whilst remaining sympathetic to original architecture.
As with all of Wrekin Windows’ products, the Vertical Sliding Window System is manufactured to the highest standard from a formulation that includes a high impact modifier to withstand cold weather and also a UV light resistant pigment to maintain colour and pigmentation. The window system is kitemarked to BS EN 12608 and BS 7950 and is also BBA approved.
“We’ve been exhibiting at CIH for the past ten years and realise the benefits of exhibiting at this particular show,” said John Williams, Wrekin Windows’ sales and marketing manager. “It gives us a great opportunity to showcase all our products directly to the decision makers within the social housing sector, and is the ideal platform from which to launch our new Vertical Sliding Window System.
“The window itself is A-rated and its thermal properties are enhanced by the use of 24mm glazing as standard. From a resident’s point of view, the window incorporates a rigorously tested balance mechanism that ensures a smooth operation, and a tilt open facility to both windows for ease of cleaning.”
Joining Wrekin Windows on its stand will be sister-company Permadoor exhibiting its range of fire doors.
Wrekin Windows will be exhibiting on stand C15 at the CIH Conference and Exhibition, which runs from 25-27 June at Manchester Central.
