Electrical contractors interested in supplying domestic energy saving solutions should make a date to attend the Electric Event (June 20-22, Birmingham’s ICC), where Marshall-Tufflex will exhibit and discuss a range of technologies available to the trade.
On-stand the energy management specialist will demonstrate its domestic voltage optimisation system Voltis Home and its Domestic Boiler Management unit, both of which can achieve meaningful energy savings for householders.
In addition the East Sussex-based manufacturer will lead two ‘Technology Live’ workshops (June 21, 11.20am & 3.20pm) entitled ‘Energy Solutions’ looking at the need to reduce energy consumption in the UK and the technologies available for electrical contractors to offer their customers.
Marshall-Tufflex announced its sponsorship of The Electric Event in February and is very much looking forward to the event, as Kevin Beech, Marshall-Tufflex National Sales Manager, explained: “The event comes at a great time for us because we’ve recently expanded our portfolio of domestic energy saving solutions with the launch of the Domestic Boiler Management system, which is quick and easy for a qualified electrician to install and can reduce heating and hot water bills by 20%*. Couple it with a Voltis Home unit, which is rated up to 60Amps allowing all circuits in a typical house to be connected to it, including electric showers, immersion heaters, cookers etc, and electrical contractors have a great opportunity to lower customers’ energy bills while boosting their own bottom line. It is a win-win situation.”
Marshall-Tufflex representatives will also be on hand to discuss its market-leading cable management and power delivery systems, including a new raised floor box designed to cope with increased traffic and be quicker/easier to install and its Series 507 Powertrack, the first system to achieve Intertek ASTA type test certification for short circuit testing to BS EN 61534-22:2009 Clauses 15.4,18.4.3.2, & 18.4.3.3. This short-circuit withstand test is now a compulsory part of the latest harmonised standard for powertrack systems.
Delegates will also be able to learn more about Marshall-Tufflex’s energy management solutions for commercial buildings, including its new Commercial Boiler Manager and Voltis voltage optimisation systems.
The Commercial Boiler Manager can reduce heating and hot water bills by 20%* and prolong the life of commercial boilers without compromising user comfort. The system, suitable for installation with single and linked pairs of boilers under a common header where the boilers’ output exceeds 30kW, uses digital microprocessors programmed to control boiler firing. Reducing unnecessary firing not only cuts energy bills and CO2 emissions it also prolongs the life of boilers simply because they are not working so hard. The unit is compact (180mm x 180mm x 63mm) and straight-forward for a qualified electrician to install. It is suitable for use with combi, condensing and modulating boilers fuelled by gas, oil or LPG.
The Voltis range of voltage optimisation systems offers a range of cost-effective solutions for small and large commercial customers, from off-the-shelf units to bespoke systems, with power savings of up to 20% possible.
