Novus Property Solutions has delivered a series of essential works for the Salvation Army Housing Association (saha) to improve its housing stock before the winter weather arrives.
An extensive programme of planned works included window and door replacements roofing and roofline upgrades, kitchen and bathroom renewals, and internal and external re-decoration, to various properties and schemes throughout the Midlands as well as Watford and central London.
The improvements to more than 80 dwellings and hostels has helped to reinforce saha’s position as a leading provider of centres, foyers and move-on housing for single and homeless people throughout the UK.
Novus has built a long-standing relationship with saha and its partnering consultants, with all parties using their combined experience and knowledge of saha and its residents’ needs to meet the successful delivery of the project’s requirements.
Challenges faced throughout the contract duration consisted of local planning consents from various local authorities, access arrangements with tenants, safe working practices in consultation with the HSE and obstacles such as scaffold licences and material deliveries in ‘red route’ areas within London.
Novus’ experience and expertise ensured the successful completion of the project on time and on budget, and saha paid tribute to Novus’ transparent communication policy and its open-book approach to costs.
Dean Sitton, capital projects manager at saha commented: “Novus carried out works to a very good standard, helping us to improve our building stock to ensure our residents homes are kept in good order.”
