Travis Perkins provides support to housing apprentices

To mark its recent partnership with Plus Dane Housing Group, the Managed Services team of Travis Perkins has provided work bags, tools, and equipment to three of the neighbourhood investor’s new apprentices.

The Travis Perkins Managed Services team has been appointed by Plus Dane Housing Group as the preferred supplier of repair and maintenance materials for its 6,000 properties across Ellesmere Port and Neston.

The agreement started the same week as the repairs team of Plus Dane Housing Group welcomed three new apprentices. In the spirit of the partnership, Travis Perkins donated a host of tools to ensure the new recruits had all the necessary equipment to learn new skills whilst on site.

To service the contract, Travis Perkins Managed Services will procure stock, deliver, and administer a wide range of materials to facilitate the repair and maintenance of the properties managed in Ellesmere Port and Neston by the housing association.

James Clack, Sales Director of Travis Perkins Managed Services, said: “We were keen to help Joe, Louis and Jimmy as much as possible at the start of their new found careers with Plus Dane Housing Group. Apprentices are the future of our industry, so it’s great to be able to support them by providing the necessary tools to progress in their respective jobs.

“We are very excited to have been appointed as the preferred supplier of building materials to Plus Dane Housing Group. Being able to service a contract of this size is testament to the trusted service and high quality products that Travis Perkins has to offer.”

Peter Jones, Repairs and Maintenance Manager of Plus Dane Housing Group in Ellesmere Port and Neston, said: “We are pleased to enter into a partnering arrangement with a nationally respected merchant. Their support for our apprentices is testimony to the excellent working relationship we have developed and the partnering culture we promote.”

Plus Dane Housing Group is a neighbourhood investor providing quality services that benefit people, homes and neighbourhoods across Merseyside and Cheshire.
