Benchmarx Kitchens & Joinery has teamed up with lighting manufacturer Sensio to launch a revamped lighting range with an emphasis on low-efficiency LED products for the first time.
Plinth lighting, worktop strips and shelf lighting are all now available in low-energy LED options, along with in-cabinet, over-cabinet and under-cabinet lighting. It is part of a drive by the brand, which is part of the Travis Perkins Group, to offer more efficient lighting to its kitchen customers.
Homeowners can now choose from a wide range of LED products spanning atmospheric, functional and decorative lighting as part of the free design service at 84 Benchmarx showrooms nationwide, before handing over to trade customers for purchase and installation.
The range also gives installers and trade customers the opportunity to add value to their own service by pushing the benefits of LED lighting when specifying kitchen projects.
Hannah Brunton, Product Manager for Kitchens & Flooring at Travis Perkins, said: “Halogen lighting was often seen as a costly add-in to kitchen purchases but LED lighting has completely revamped the market. They are cheaper to run, more environmentally friendly but with a designer look too.
“We have worked closely with Sensio to launch a whole new lighting range which is more user-friendly, with symbols to highlight which products are LED and HD LED to online and showroom customers.
“Just as importantly, it also gives our trade customers the confidence to communicate the benefits of LED lighting to their own customers and to direct them to our showrooms to see the products for themselves.”
Michael Linsky, Managing Director at Sensio, said: “One of Sensio’s core focuses is to work closely with retailers to encourage lighting to be a key consideration when planning and purchasing a kitchen.
“Lighting not only plays a pivotal role in the functionality of a kitchen, but can also dramatically enhance the kitchen visually. It should not be an afterthought but a necessary part of any kitchen design. Benchmarx has also recognised the important role that lighting plays.
“I feel extremely confident that this new working relationship will be long and prosperous for both parties. Benchmarx is now able to offer its customers a vast selection of innovative, eco-friendly lighting solutions that further enhance its kitchen designs. For Sensio, this is another opportunity to demonstrate the undeniable results that a comprehensive lighting scheme can achieve, as well as further strengthening the Sensio brand.”
