Kingspan Renewables has strengthened its training offering with the appointment of a new Training Manager. Darren Till will oversee the portfolio of courses on offer at its dedicated Renewables Training Centres in Halesowen, West Midlands and Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Darren’s appointment reflects Kingspan’s ongoing commitment to delivering complete start-to-finish package solutions, and providing experienced industry professionals with the expertise needed to facilitate the highest quality design, installation and maintenance of renewable technologies.
As part of his new role, Darren will assess the training needs of Kingspan’s customers and staff and put together the right initiatives to meet these effectively. He brings with him 18 years of industry experience, which he will be putting to use providing LOGIC certified training on Kingspan’s range of solar thermal technologies, high-performance hot water storage solutions and air source heat pumps.
Darren comments: “High quality training is vital for industry professionals to provide the best possible service to our customers – before, during and after installation – and I am very much looking forward to the opportunity to work closely with trainees to make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience for them.
“Not only do our facilities allow trainees, from merchants and installers to existing Kingspan staff, to gain an in-depth understanding of renewable technologies, they also give tradesmen the opportunity to boost their earnings. The broad portfolio of courses on offer includes LOGIC Certified training, meaning our professionals and customers can rely on expert knowledge they can trust. Achieving LOGIC Certification also helps trainees towards gaining Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accreditation – essential for their installations to become eligible for voucher support under the Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) scheme and for future Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments from the government.”
Kingspan Renewables’ Managing Director, Cameron Holroyd, adds: “As our Renewables portfolio expands and the market continues to grow, Kingspan Renewables Training Centres play a vital part in helping installers make the most of the commercial opportunities on offer. As leading experts in solar thermal and heat pump technology as well as high-performance hot water storage solutions, we believe it is our responsibility to provide trainees with the valuable skills they need to respond competently to increasing demand. They also benefit from advice on government grants and other incentives driving renewables in the UK, as well as after-sales and technical support from Kingspan.”
Training at Kingspan Renewables Training Centres ranges from one to four days on an array of topics: from the benefits of renewables for customers and installers, to system design, installation requirements and building regulations. Attendees will qualify for discounts on Kingspan Renewables products purchased following training, which can help offset the cost of courses.
