With Part S of the Building Regulations outlining all newly constructed homes in England must include electric vehicle (EV) charging points, Marley has enhanced its growing renewable energy portfolio with the introduction of a Marley Electric Vehicle Charger.
Effective from June 2023, Part S mandates that housebuilders and developers must include electric vehicle charging points when constructing new build homes, comprised of 10 or more dwellings, which include onsite or associated parking spaces.
In addition, Part S also outlines the requirement for existing homes and non-residential buildings undergoing major renovation to also include electric vehicle charging facilities.
And, as the uptake of electric vehicles continues to increase due to their low carbon emissions, along with increasing fuel prices, potential house buyers are looking more eagerly at properties that offer in-built at-home charging facilities.
