At MHF we pride ourselves on being a bit different, we’ve been here for nearly 50 years and are looking forward to the next 50.

MHF supply the very best products to any industry that uses demountable vehicles. We are family owned and proud to have been in business for nearly fifty years. From humble beginnings we are now market leaders within our industry and pride ourselves to be innovators and not imitators. Here’s a bit about our boss and his quest to make MHF what it is today.

Martin Harvey Fernihough was born in Radford on 18th June 1951 as the youngest of 9. He started pig farming at 14, going to Agricultural College at Moreton Morrell at 19.

The porcine project …was a disaster so Martin, who having been raised on the family farm had accumulated a vast knowledge of all things mechanical, tried his hand at agricultural vehicle repairs for starters, then orchard clearance, then a bit of ditch clearing, some hedge removal, digging drainage systems and installing irrigation systems. Branching out some more, he moved onto digging footings, installing septic tanks and general building groundwork.
